Main purpose of school groups coming to visit our Farm must be to spend a day in full contact with nature and animals, forgetting just for a few hours the noises of the town and the little space available.
The «typical» day of boys and girls coming to visit us is simple and basically can be subdivided into three steps:
The first didactic step includes visiting the livestock. The farm raises many species of animals; we stop near every stockyard and explain the history, the habits and the peculiarities of each animal. We usually ask the children coming to visit our farm to bring dry bread for the animals. Feeding them with their own hands helps them getting to know the animals, overcoming their fear.
The second step includes lunch or snack: boys and girls can bring it with them or we can prepare it for them, according to what was agreed. It will be in any case eaten (if possible) outdoor, on tables or on the grass.
The third and last step of the day is committed exclusively to the game: boys and girls can freely play in the meadows, on the swings, with the ball or play team games with their guides. After that, tired but happy, they will go home.
They must always arrive to the farm after 10 am.
Our holiday farm lies a few kilometres away from Alessandria and Acqui Terme, tucked away in the countryside, on the banks of a lake. It is the ideal place for people who love animals: you can see many of them in our park, native as well as exotic breeds. As of this year, we also have ornament chickens. More than 15 chicken breeds, small and big ones, laying light blue or brown eggs, chickens growing fur instead of feathers, etc.
